Gulnaar is old-world Mughal grace made for barat, nikkah and reception evenings. A full-flared ivory silk pishwas is framed by a gold-latticed bodice and sheer sleeves traced with tilla work, then finished at the hem with a band of gold zari motifs, silver lace and a swaying gold lamé ruffle. A shimmering net veil and a rich maroon banarasi shawl complete the regal, heirloom look.
The ensemble
- Pishwas: ivory silk with a gold jaal-latticed bodice, tilla-embroidered sleeves, zari motifs along the flare and a layered lace and gold lamé hem
- Culottes: matching ivory culottes
- Net dupatta: sheer ivory net scattered with sequins and gold motifs, edged with a gold gota and sequin border
- Banarasi shawl: deep maroon woven with gold and silver jamawar motifs and a silver-gota border
Handwork: tilla, zari, sequins, gota and lace detailing.
